Submit

Do you have a one-act play you're ready to submit? Fantastic -- we can't wait to read your work!

The Los Angeles Collegiate Playwrights Festival is currently accepting one-act play submissions for their 2020 season. Candidates must currently be enrolled in an accredited college and university. Plays may be up to 25 pages and run no longer than 30 minutes.

Here's what you need to know:

If your play is selected, the LACPF will produce it on stage with a company of industry professionals as part of our annual festival season. Following production, we will publish an anthology of each season's official selections.

This is non-exclusive production and publication. That means even though we're premiering your play and publishing it as part of a seasonal collection, you still retain ownership of the work and are free to produce and publish anywhere else in the future. Our goal is to help launch your career by bringing major market exposure to your work.

Fees:

The submission fee is $20 per play. Once we receive your payment, you will be taken to the submission page where you can enter your information and upload your files. We look forward to reading your work.

LACPF is not currently accepting submissions due to COVID-19. However, did you know LACPF offers playwriting services for all levels and ages? Visit our SERVICES page for more details.
